This document contains Cycle Chemistry Guidelines providing feedwater, boiler water and steam targets and limits for phosphate and caustic / sodium hydroxide (NaOH) treated drum boilers in fossil and combined cycle / HRSG power plants (PT and CT). Customization for each type of plant is provided.

This Technical Guidance Document was adopted by IAPWS in 2015, replacing the version of 2011.
The revision included a small number of minor updates and clarifications, and added guidance for
Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) that start frequently and those that are required to fast start.
