ICRN 32 describes the need for information--data and models--covering the conductivity of aqueous electrolyte solutions between 5 °C and 120 °C.  These data are needed for technologies involving water-cooled electrical equipment, electrical resistance boilers (sometimes up to 100 bars pressure), instrument manufacturers, etc. More specific details on available data and current needs are described in the document.

Although encouraging this work, IAPWS is not able under its statutes to provide financial support. The IAPWS contact can provide any further development information and will liaise between research groups.
