Revised Guideline on the Critical Locus of Aqueous Solutions of Sodium Chloride

Description
This Guideline provides a formulation for the critical temperature, critical pressure, and critical density
of aqueous solutions of sodium chloride for mole fractions of NaCl up to 0.12.
The development of the formulation is described in detail in a
scientific article
and Erratum.
Revision History
- This Guideline was adopted by IAPWS in 2000.
- In 2012, the Guideline was revised, implementing a revised formulation that better reflects current theoretical understanding.
This Guideline is the product of the Working Group "Thermophysical Properties of Water and Steam" (TPWS) of the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS).
