Revised Supplementary Release on Saturation Properties of
Ordinary Water Substance

Description
This Supplementary Release provides simple formulations for the saturation pressure of ordinary water as
a function of temperature, and also of the saturated vapor and liquid densities, enthalpies, and entropies.
It is intended to provide a convenient and simple approximation to the complete
IAPWS-95 formulation for users who only need properties at
saturation conditions. It can also provide good initial guesses for calculations with
the IAPWS-95 formulation.
The development of the correlations is described in detail in a
scientific article.
Revision History
- This Supplementary Release was adopted by IAPWS in 1986.
- In 1992, the Supplementary Release was revised in order to be consistent with the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90).
This Supplementary Release is the product of the Working Group "Thermophysical Properties of Water and Steam" (TPWS) of the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS).
