Description
This Advisory Note describes the roles that different IAPWS documents play
in the calculations embodied in the International Thermodynamic Equation
of Seawater - 2010, commonly known as TEOS-10,
which is widely used in physical oceanography.

This Advisory Note is the product of the Working Groups "Thermophysical Properties of Water and Steam" (TPWS) and "Industrial Requirements and Solutions" (IRS) and the Subcommittee on Seawater (SCSW) of the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS).
